Cairo, Bucharest Universities Sign Cooperation Agreement

Cairo University President Dr. Mohamed Othman Al-Khosht received Dr. Nicolas Estador, President of Bucharest University and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two universities.

The two sides discussed the importance of cooperation in the academic and research fields. They also agreed to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two universities.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Khosht stressed that Cairo University seeks to promote excellence and enhance the university’s educational and research role through academic cooperation and alliance with prestigious and internationally ranked universities.

Cairo University president pointed out that the university is keen on cooperation with major global universities that occupy advanced positions in the international rankings, confirming that the university has inked cooperation protocols with other universities such as Cornell, Pennsylvania, Shanghai Jiao Tong and others.

On his part, President of Bucharest University said that the international relations between Egypt and Romania are strong, as the two countries have a common history at all levels, expressing his desire to open the prospects of academic and research cooperation with Cairo University.

“The University of Bucharest is one of the most important educational institutions in Romania, especially in economics and business administration programs,” Dr. Estador added.

He also invited Dr. Al-khosht to visit Romania on April 4-7.
