BTS' RM, leader of the K-pop band BTS, will drop his solo album "Indigo" on December 2.

The rapper will be the third member to release solo material this year, following J-hope and Jin.

“Finally, my 1st album will be releasing thanks to everyone. I worked hard on it for the past 4 years," RM said in a statement on HYBE’s social networking platform Weverse.

He continued:" It will be very different from my past projects, and a lot of fun friends are gathered in it. Please wish me well until December 2.”

Label Big Hit Music added: “RM has already given fans an honest look into his world through two mixtapes. Through ‘Indigo’, RM delivers his candid thoughts and feelings and showcases wide-ranging music through collaborations with various artists.”

The album recounts the stories and experiences RM has gone through, like a diary.

The rapper has previously released a pair of mixtapes, 2018’s “Mono” and 2015’s “RM,” but “Indigo” will be his first full-length effort.

The album will be RM’s first official solo release since the seven-member K-pop boy band announced a hiatus to pursue individual music releases.

BTS also recently disclosed that they will be undergoing Korea’s mandatory military service, with Jin initiating the process sometime before the end of the year.
