The teaser for BTS member Jungkook's documentary “Jung Kook: I Am Still” — a video diary of the K-pop idol’s “eight-month journey” to his solo debut — has been released.

The film is directed by Junsoo Park, who has directed a majority of the many films dedicated to BTS and its eight members, along with other films coming out of Big Hit Music, BTS’ South Korean record label.

“Jung Kook: I Am Still” will premiere on September 18, with limited screenings in over 120 countries and regions. Tickets for the showings will go on sale August 21.

In a press release, Big Hit describes the documentary as beginning around the time Jung Kook released “Seven,” a song featuring the American rapper Latto, in a lead-up to his first solo album, “Golden.”

“The film presents exclusive never-before-seen footage and interviews, alongside electrifying live performances that delve into the creative process, unwavering work ethic, and unique challenges faced by a global superstar,” the release continued. “It offers viewers an intimate look into the journey behind his solo debut that showcased the pinnacle of Jung Kook’s artistry and catapulted him to a global popstar.”

The film will be distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, with CEO Marc Allenby, adding, “We’re excited to continue our strong partnership with Hybe on this incredible project. Bringing Jungkook’s story to the big screen is a testament to the power of shared experiences, and we can’t wait for fans to come together and enjoy this film with fellow ARMY (BTS’ fandom).”

“Seven (feat. Latto)” peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 songs chart as the first single from “Golden,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

“It’s my official solo debut, so everything is a challenge and feels new and fresh,” Jungkook told Variety last summer. “Of course, I think a lot about delivering good music and performance while working on my music. But above all, as this is my first step forward in the spotlight as a solo artist, I want to show a more mature and grown version of myself.”

Jungkook previously hinted that he was working on a documentary about his solo efforts in a November episode of Suchwita, the YouTube talk show hosted by his bandmate SUGA.

“It follows the process from ‘Seven’ to my album,” he said. “When you film with other members, the cameras aren’t all focused on you. But I always feel kind of pressured talking in front of a camera alone.”

The 26-year-old musician is also currently starring in a travel docu-series alongside bandmate Jimin on Disney+. Chronicling the friends’ trips through destinations in the U.S., South Korea and Japan, "Are You Sure?!" premied August 8 and will continue dropping episodes through September 19.
