A British woman died at the age of 39 in Cyprus after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik reported on Tuesday.
Died in the General Hospital in Nicosia, the spokesman of the State Health Services Organization Charalambos Charilaou said that there will be an investigation for identifying the link between the cause of death and the vaccine.

The Cyprus News Agency reported that the victim faced a serious episode of blood clotting complications.
AstraZeneca is considered as the main used vaccine in Cypriot, however, various adults who registered for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine dropped AstraZeneca doses and went for other alternatives.
Named as the third top country for giving its people the COVID-19 vaccine, Cyprus managed to vaccinate at least 49% of its people.
