American actress Brie Larson is the latest addition to join the cast of the highly-anticipated movie “Fast and Furious 10”.

“Fast and Furious” star Vin Diesel announced Saturday the news on Instagram.

“Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself ‘That’s Captain Marvel.’ Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in ‘Fast 10’," Diesel wrote.

"You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie,”  he concluded.

“Fast and Furious 10” is scripted by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin, the latter is also set to helm the 11th and final installment in the franchise.

The entire cast is set to return, including Diesel and franchise regulars such as Sung Kang, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Charlize Theron, who’s played the villain Cypher since “The Fate of the Furious.”

Earlier this year, Jason Momoa and Daniela Melchior joined the all-star cast of “Fast and Furious 10”.

The movie hits theaters on May 19, 2023.

On the other hand, Larson is set to reprise her role as female fighter pilot-turned superhero Carol Danvers in the sequel to Marvel Studios’ 90s-set movie “Captain Marvel”.

The sequel is scripted by Megan McDonnell and directed by Nia DaCosta.

The first Captain Marvel film was released in 2019 and earned $1.1 billion globally.

It featured Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson), in his early days, teaming up with the great Captain Marvel to face a cosmic threat to Earth.

The cast also included Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening, Gemma Chan, and Lashana Lynch.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck directed the movie from a screenplay they co-wrote alongside Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
