BRICS Media Education Foundation Holds Inaugural Meeting at “Awladna” Forum in Egypt

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the 9th International “Awladna” Forum for Arts of People with Special Abilities, held under the theme “Color it with Joy”, is hosting the founding meeting of the BRICS Media Education Foundation (BEFMA).

Representatives from 10 countries—including France, India, Serbia, Mexico, and South Africa—are taking part in the gathering, which brings together 25 members from BRICS nations and partner countries. The new foundation aims to advance media education by developing curricula, enhancing digital skills, and empowering youth to engage with media in innovative ways.

The 9th Awladna Forum runs from September 18 to 25, 2025, at the Grand Theater of the Cairo Opera House, in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministries of Culture, Social Solidarity, Youth and Sports, Tourism and Antiquities, Planning and Economic Development, along with the National Council for Women and the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.
