BLACKPINK member Jennie is set to release a brand new single "Mantra," on Friday, October 11.

Earlier this week, the K-pop idol made an appearance at the Chanel Spring 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week during which she spoke to Vogue about her upcoming single.

The song will be her first solo release under her self-founded label Odd Atelier and her partnership with Columbia Records.

“It’s something my fans and I have really been looking forward to,” Jennie said. “I’ll be focusing on creating opportunities for us to connect and communicate, allowing us to share special experiences together and interact with fans from all over the world.”

She also spoke about the message behind "Mantra", describing it as “a fun, upbeat anthem that celebrates girl power and inspires every woman to shine in her own way with confidence”.

In another interview with WWD, she revealed that the new single also inspired the blonde hair she sported at the fashion show.

“I can’t share too much just yet, but maybe this new look can do [sic] a little bit of a teaser,” Jennie said.

In December 2023, YG Entertainment announced that the agency renewed its exclusive contract with all four members of BLACKPINK, sending the company’s stock soaring on news that its most successful act would remain with the agency.

BLACKPINK is to date the most successful K-pop girl group to have impacted the U.S. market.

The four-piece headlined Coachella earlier this year, and in 2022 became the third K-pop group to top the Billboard 200 with its album Born Pink.

Jennie had some major accomplishments of her own in 2023.

In addition to releasing long-awaited solo music, she made her acting debut in the HBO drama series "The Idol", and was named an honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire.
