“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning blockbuster “Black Panther”, will resume production next week.
The Marvel mega sequel is also again listed among the projects in production in the state on the Georgia Film Office web site.
Furthermore, actress Letitia Wright healed and back in Atlanta ready to resume her role as fan-favorite character Shuri the genius young sister of Black Panther, played by late actor Chadwick Boseman, and an accomplished inventor in the sequel.

The actress suffered an injury in late August while filming a sequence involving a stunt rig on-location in Boston.
Production then shut down in late November after the Wakanda Forever crew filmed as much as they could without Wright, while she continued to heal at her home in London.
At the time, Marvel Studios stated Wright’s injury would not impact the shooting schedule of the movie.
Wright’s Shuri became a fan-favorite breakout in the 2018 blockbuster, which grossed $1.3 billion and won three Oscars.
The character was elevated as the lead of the sequel following the death of Boseman, who died from cancer in August 2020.
The first part of “Black Panther” was a cultural sensation when it was released and had shattered the pernicious Hollywood myth that movies with a predominantly Black cast could not be commercially viable internationally.
The movie was a massive global hit at the box office, earning $700.4 million domestic, the highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office, and $1.34 billion worldwide, second only to Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04 billion) that year.
The sequel, directed by Ryan Coogler, began production in June 2021.
It will also see the return of Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is set to debut on November 11.
