American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish is nearly finished with her new album.

In a recent interview with Mr Porter, the  pop sensation’s brother and right hand producer Finneas revealed that the album is “85 percent done.”

Finneas has also opened up about the process of creating the album, which he described it to be "Not an easy one."

“I don’t think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about,” he noted. “Making a thing that you feel really connected to – it can really evade you.”

Finneas, who works with Eilish often on songwriting, explained that mapping out the time between his own busy schedule for writing was difficult as he performed 88 shows in a year’s time.

“I think I got a little rusty. And that was scary. It was discouraging to realize that if I take time off, my songwriting muscle atrophies. I had to get back in shape,” he pointed out.

In her young, phenomenally successful career, Eilish has released two albums 2019’s "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" and 2021’s "Happier Than Ever".

In the time since, the siblings worked together on “What Was I Made For?” as part of "Barbie: The Album".

The track is up for a total of six Grammys ahead of the 66th annual Grammy Awards, including the song and record of the year categories.
