Mostafa El Feki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Salah Salem Al Mahmoud, director-general of the Sharjah Documentation and Archive Authority (SDAA) at the library's Cultural Heritage Documentation Center in the Smart Village.
El Feki said that fraternal relations between Egypt and the the United Arab Emirates already exist, and this memorandum affirms this relation long standing relations. "We affirm this relation today by signing this agreement, following the foot steps of the "wise Arab" late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE."
On his part, Al-Mahmoud expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and expressed his appreciation for the importance of this cooperation between the two parties due to its impact and addition to the Arab culture.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties signed the agreement and exchanged gifts from the publications of the Library of Alexandria and the latest publications of his Highness Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi and that of the SDAA.
