Dr. El-Feki said that the Egyptian leadership attaches great interest to culture as it makes the progress of nations, stressing that the NAC's library is a great edifice and is considered the largest library in Cairo, and it will play a key role in providing more culture and civilization.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides in publishing and distribution books, as well as in holding cultural and artistic performances, including joint book fairs, hosting international authors and writers, and holding art exhibitions.
It also focuses on carrying out restoration works for manuscripts, rare books, old photographs, films and CDs.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina would also provide all support to the NAC's Cultural City in holding book fairs and workshops.
Notably, the Cultural City will feature several theaters, exhibition halls, libraries, museums, and galleries for traditional and contemporary arts in the fields of music, painting, sculpture and handicrafts.
