Berlin witnessed a large public turnout for the global premiere of the film Michael, a biographical project chronicling the life of Michael Jackson.

The event turned into a celebratory spectacle, with fans arriving in outfits inspired by the late pop icon’s most famous looks, recreating the atmosphere of his legendary performances.

Several members of the Jackson family attended, including Jaafar Jackson, who portrays his uncle in the film, and Jackie Jackson.

Jaafar Jackson said he prepared for the role by studying extensive archival footage and drawing on personal memories, noting that watching his uncle perform live was among the most influential experiences in his life.

Jackie Jackson praised the performance, highlighting Jaafar’s ability to capture the spirit and presence of his brother on screen.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film traces Michael Jackson’s journey from his early days with the "The Jackson 5" to his rise as a global superstar, featuring milestones such as Thriller and Beat It.

The film is set for theatrical release on April 24, with strong expectations for a successful opening amid renewed global interest in the legacy of the “King of Pop.”

Despite the strong reception, the film has sparked debate for not addressing some of the more controversial aspects of Jackson’s life.

Filmmakers cited legal constraints, emphasizing that the project focuses primarily on his artistic career and global influence on the music industry.
