The New York Police Department responded to the scene and arrested 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, charging him with a felony for using his cell phone as a weapon, according to reports.

Video of the incident shared by concertgoers on social media showed Rexha grabbing her face and falling to her knees after she was hit while the crew at the Rooftop at Pier 17 rushed to help her.
