American actor Michael Keaton will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, in Warner Bros.' upcoming DC movie "Batgirl" starring Leslie Grace.
Despite the plot details having been kept under wrap, the movie centers around the heroine whose real identity is Barbara Gordon (Grace), the daughter of Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon.
The movie also features J.K. Simmons reprising his role as Jim Gordon after first playing the character in Zack Snyder’s “Justice League”, and Brendan Fraser as the villainous Firefly, a sociopath with a passion for pyrotechnics.
“Batgirl” is currently in production in London.
“Bad Boys for Life” filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will helm the movie from a script by Christina Hodson.
“Batgirl” is scheduled to debut on HBO Max in 2022.
In the same year, Keaton will be seen as the Caped Crusader alongside Ben Affleck's version in the upcoming movie "The Flash", starring Ezra Miller.
It has been 30 years since Keaton first donned the Batsuit.
