Moroccan singer and fashion designer Bassma Boussel is set to make her comeback in the music industry after splitting up from her ex-husband, Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny.
Bousil has taken recently to Instagram stories to tease what appears to be the current progress of upcoming music.
The 32-year-old star shared a photo with Music Producer and Sound Engineer Mostafa Raouf inside the studio.
The photo left many fans wondering if she was going to release new music.
Raouf confirmed the speculations and added they recording several songs, which are scheduled to release soon.
The 31-year-old Moroccan singer participated in the sixth season of Star Academy and came in second place.
After she returned to Morocco, she presented a Moroccan single, “Mahal”, as a gift to the audience who supported her throughout her journey at Star Academy. Then she met Hosny and made with him a duet "Matesaalnesh".
Last month, the couple called it quits after 12 years of marriage. The two went on to have three children named Adam, Talyia, and Amaya.
The former couple has not given a reason for their split aside from announcing the news on Instagram. However, there have been speculations throughout the years surrounding extreme jealousy and cheating rumors.
Boussel previously opened up about the reason behind her retirement, noting she made her decision based on her free will and not because of Hosny.
"I made an agreement with Tamer that I would retire before marriage in order for my interests to be about home and raising children," she said.
