Baron Palace Marks 2-year Reopening Anniversary

The Baron Palace, in Heliopolis district, organized an event under the title "The Past and Legends" on the occasion of the two-year anniversary opening.

 

The event included two exhibitions of photographs and paintings, in addition to an art workshop for children, a storytelling workshop about the legends of the palace represented in the struggle between good and evil, and a musical performance by the Accordionella orchestra.

 

Basma Selim, director of the Baron Palace said that the first exhibition included a group of photographs that were displayed in the inner corridors of the palace to shed light on the condition of the palace before and after its restoration project, as well as the introduction of the Indian and European legends that reside on the facades and walls of the palace.

 

Selim said that the aim of these exhibitions is to highlight the efforts of the Egyptian state represented by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to save this monument, and direct attention towards the palace, making it a tourist destination due to its historical and architectural importance.

 

It is worth noting that the two exhibitions are scheduled to continue until July 4, and were inaugurated by Abu Bakr Abdullah, Vice President of the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Sector, on behalf of Osama Talaat, Head of the sector.
