Banksy's Artwork Goes for Auction

Yesterday, An artwork by the anonymous England-based street artist Banksy went under the hammer in the dutch Hessink's auction house.

Depicting a bird carrying a grenade, the artwork was sold for 170 thousand Euros according to the Dutch ENB agency. Also, it went to a famous Dutch collector.

Regarding the date of painting it, the artwork was painted in 2002, and it was kept in the personal collection of Rolling Stone's guitarist Ronnie Wood's son.

The identity of the artist is still anonymous. He is well known for his satirical street paintings that discuss several social problems such as refugees, and the COVID-19 crisis.
