Belonging to Italian Cairo-based family, Pietro Bajocchi inherited the career of jewelry designing from his ancestors. His great grandfather Paolo founded the earliest Bajocci jewelry store in 1900 in Abd El Khalek Thawat St. (Previously known as Al Manakh St.).

His Cairo store was considered as a continuation for his ancestors’ career in Italy and that initiated by Wenceslao Bajocci in 1888.

Paolo was the main jewelry designer of the former Egyptian Royal Family. Paola’s sons and grandchildren still follow the path, in addition Raul is still displaying his grandfathers medals and honorary souvenirs.

The 118-year old store still carries its nostalgic wooden decorations with their black and gold colors, in addition to the unique old writings of the glass.

Bajocci’s members depend on professional Egyptian workers who follow the mesmerizing family’s designs through history. Those designs were documented in more than 1000 catalogues.

Executing the of the design takes at least 200 working hours. The family is known for their rare and precious pieces, swords, models, and accessories which attracted the eyes of the Royal Family and Middl Eastern figures, and politicians to their designs. The iconic Umm Kulthoum, Anwar El Sadat, Gihane El Sadat, Farah Diba, and the former King of Italy were some of the most important customers for the store.
