The fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise is in pre-production.
Franchise stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence each took to their Instagram to announce the news to fans of the franchise.
In addition, Sony Pictures also confirmed that the currently untitled sequel is in early pre-production at the studio.
The fate of the fourth movie was shaky in the aftermath of Smith's assaulting Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.
However, Sony boss Tom Rothman put an end to speculations about the suspension of the movie and shared that the movie was in development.
“Bad Boys 4 ” was announced in January 2020 and will see Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.
It will be the follow-up to the 2020 movie “Bad Boys For Life“.
Filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Billall Fallah are returning to direct the fourth installment of the hit franchise from the script of Chris Bremner.
Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad, Chad Oman, and Smith for Westbrook will be back as producers, with Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone serving as executive producers.
