BA Director Receivers S. Korea Ambassador

The Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) Dr. Mostafa El Feki received on Tuesday the Ambassador of South Korea to Egypt Hong Jin-Wook.

On his side, El Feki affirmed the deepness of Egypt-South Korea ties, adding that Egypt's foreign policy during the reign of President Abdel Fattah Sisi is based on strengthening the mutual ties with Africa and Asia.

He added that South Korea is a real example for the developed, and advanced country that succeeded in making technological and industrial milestones in a short time.

On his side, Ambassador Hong Jin-Wook expressed his keenness to visit the BA, and examine the means of cooperation between both countries in the field of information technology-related industries, and student exchange programs and activities.

Moreover, the ambassador reflected his hopes in widening the scopes of the cultural cooperation between Egypt, and South Korea, in addition, he wishes to make use of BA's experience in archiving and digitalizing heritage.

At the end of the visit, El Feki expressed his sincere happiness for the ambassador's keenness in establishing mutual cultural projects between both countries.

Finally, the BA's director gifted the ambassador a collection of BA's releases.
