Egyptian actress Ayten Amer will participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon with a huge star-studded project.
Amer has recently signed on to star in a Gulf TV series that features a large number of stars from the Arab world. It is scheduled to begin preparations in the coming period.
“Until now, I don't have an Egyptian series during the holy month of Ramadan,” she told Al-Watan.
Amer was last seen in season 7 of the hit comedy TV series "Al-Kabir Awy".
Season 7 of “Al-Kabir Awy” featured the return of previous cast members such as Ahmed Mekky, Bayoumi Fouad, Hisham Ismail, Mohamed Salam, Ahmed Farag, and Moustafa Gharieb.
It also featured a number of celebrities making a cameo including Ahmed El Sakka and Lebanese actress Nour, who embodies the personality of a psychiatrist.
The series was written by Mustafa Saqr, directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, and produced by the Synergy production company.
“Al-Kabir Awy” made its debut in 2010. It revolves around the Mayor of the Mazarita village, in upper Egypt, who discovers that he has other siblings. The series achieved great success and became one of the best comedy series that screened annually during Ramadan. It was renewed in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2022.
