Egyptian actress Ayten Amer is on the mend after being injured on set.
Amer recently suffered an injury to her right eye while working on the TV series "Kolohom Beyhibo Mody".
During the filming of a wedding scene in the series, a co-star shoots a gun, but one of the projectiles used in the scene hits Amer's eye directly, leaving her with a bruised eye.
She is now set to take a break from filming for a week and under the doctor's advice not be exposed to strong light, until her condition stabilizes and she recovers completely.
"Kolohom Beyhibo Mody" also features Yasser Galal, Mervat Amin, Hoda Eletreby, Mostafa Abo Sriea, Mohsen Mansour, and more.
The drama hails from director Ahmed Shafik and is produced by Forever Drama and NTAG Production.
"Kolohom Beyhibo Mody" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
Amer participated last Ramadan with the Egyptian-Emirati TV series "Wesh Saad".
The show boasts a cast of Egyptian and Emirati stars including Mostafa Abo Sriea, Salah Abdallah, Abeer Sabry, Alaa Morsi, Donia El Masry, Aida Riad, Ahmed Siam, Mohamed El Sawy, Marwa Elazaly, Tamer Farag, Jihan Khairy, Emirati star Mohamed Abdel Aziz El Mulla, Hessa El Falasi, among others.
Written by Hossam Moussa and directed by Mohamed Hamdy, "Wesh Saad" revolves around an Emirati man who travels to Cairo on a business trip. He is involved in an unexpected accident while driving at night by an Uber driver, who takes him to her home instead of the hospital for fear of responsibility.
Amer, born on November 22, 1986, is the sister of the Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer. She landed her first major role in the 2006 TV series “Hadret El Motaham Aby” (Mr. Lawyer, my Father), starring the late iconic actor Nour El Sherif.
