Aswan Governor Ashraf Attiya received the directors of Wafaa' Al Nile (Flooding of the Nile) Association to examine the means of coordination for launching the "Nile is Egypt" campaign.

The Campaign targets shedding the light on Nile-linked and influenced culture and heritage in Egypt.

During the meeting, the Deputy Head of the association Hossam Diab highlighted that the campaign will kick off in February with a grand cultural festival in the city, entitled "The Nile's Gate."

It will include dozens of cultural, artistic, and ecological activities such as photography exhibitions, storytelling sessions, stage performances, and craft workshops.

In addition, several Aswan figures and icons will be honored during the event, alongside a number of influencers from all fields.

On his side, Attiya hailed the step, asserting his full support to all developing cultural projects in Aswan, therefore, he affirmed the necessity of demolishing any hinders that may face the festival's organizers to help them direct it professionally, and to reflect the latest developments of the governorate.

It is worthy to mention that Aswan saw the execution of several major projects such as axes, bridges, and roads, alongside the latest efforts of the "Descent Life" (Hayah Karima) project.
