Egyptian actor Asser Yassin is teaming up with screenwriter and director Mohamed Diab in the film "Rumah".
The film comes as a part of the "Big Time" Investment Fund that aims to raise the quality of Arabic content and filmmaking.
The fund is sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture. It invests in the most important Saudi, Gulf, and Arab films by the biggest stars of the Arab world.
On the other hand, Yassin is gearing up to participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon with the TV series “Bedoun Sabk Enzar”.
The cast also includes Aïcha Ben Ahmed, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Nihal Anber, and more. Hani Khalifa directed the drama from a script by Alma kafarneh.
"Bedoun Sabk Enzar" consists of 15 episodes and is produced by Blue Bee.
Yassin participated last Ramadan with the TV series "The 101 Battalion".
It also starred Amr Youssef, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Khaled El Sawy, Ahmed Salah Hosny, Wafaa Amer, and more.
"The 101 Battalion" consists of 30 episodes depicting the heroics of Battalion 101 and how they confronted the takfiri elements in Sinai.
The series is scripted by Eyad Saleh, directed by Mohamed Salama, and produced by the Synergy production company.
Yassin, born February 25, 1981, began his career on the stage of the American University in Cairo.
He was spotted by Director Khairy Beshara to play his first role in the 2006 TV series "Qalb Habiba", followed by the blockbuster "The Yacoubian Building" in 2007, and landed his first major role in a film "Zay El Naharda" in the following year.
In the same year, he got his big break playing a leading role in the film "El Waad" (The Promise), starring opposite legendary actor and superstar Mahmoud Yassin.
In 2010, Yassin played the leading role in Daoud Abdel Sayed's film "Messages from the Sea", which earned him the Best Actor award at the Carthage Film Festival and Malmö Arab Film Festival.
