Ashley Tisdale is set to star and executive produce a multi-camera comedy show "You’re Only Young Twice," in early development at CBS Studios.
Written by Tommy Johnagin (Ted Animated, That 90’s Show), the show centers on Emily (Tisdale) and Alex, who got pregnant and married in high school but now they’re 35 and their kid is starting college. That means they can get divorced and start life all over again while they’re still young enough to enjoy it. Newly divorced empty-nesters, they stumble through dating, co-parenting, and maybe a second chance at love.
Johnagin and Tisdale executive produce with Mandy Summers (That's 90s Show, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, A Different World reboot).
This marks a return to multi-camera comedy and CBS for Tisdale, who was a series regular on the 2020 sitcom "Carol’s Second Act" starring Patricia Heaton.
The High School Musical alumna also starred on the CW drama series "Hellcats" and Netflix comedy series "Merry Happy Whatever" and is a main voice-over cast member of "Phineas and Ferb".
Tisdale has recently been making waves with her “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group” essay for The Cut.
