Greater Cairo Library to Host Seminar on Egypt-Russia Relationships

As a part of the Egypt-Russia Cultural Year, Greater Cairo Public Library, Zamalek, Cairo, intends to hold, in collaboration with The Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, and the Dr. Sayed Owais for Social Studies and Research, Idris-Chekhov Foundation, a cultural seminar on the role of scientists, intellectuals and artists in enhancing Egypt-Russia relationships.

Greater Cairo Library to Host Seminar on Egypt-Russia Relationships

The event will be held to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Abu Bakr Youssef, Dean of Arab Translators, and Dr. Hussein El-Shafei, President of the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science, on Wednesday, December 8th at 6:00 pm, in the presence of their families and "Murad Gatin", director of the Russian cultural centers in Egypt.

The seminar will take place in the library hall on 26 Dec. 2021, during a program commemorating the legacy of Dr. Abu Bakr Youssef, Dean of Arab Translators, and Dr. Hussein El-Shafei, President of the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science, held in the presence of their families and "Murad Jatin", director of the Russian cultural centers in Egypt.

Renowned Journalist Ahmed El-Sersawy alongside Professor Yasser Osman, Director General of the Library, will moderate the upcoming seminar, which will be held under the theme: “ The vital role of scientists, intellectuals and artists in enhancing Egypt-Russia relationships”.

Meanwhile, Dr. Massad Owais, President of the Sayed Owais Foundation for Social Studies and Research, Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian University for Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, and Dr. Mohamed Nasr Al-Jabali, the former cultural attache to Russia will sit on that panel.
