Egyptian actress Arwa Gouda and Italian-French businessman John Battist have set the date for their Egypt wedding. The event is to take place on November 30.
In a recent interview, Gouda shared her plans to hold two wedding celebrations.
"We will have a small wedding in Italy for the family, and a big wedding in Egypt. I have already prepared two dresses," she said.
On January 21, Gouda and Battist signed the aqd qiran in a low-key ceremony limited to their family and friends.
Aqd qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.
The actress took to Instagram to share photos and videos from the ceremony.
Gouda got engaged last year before her father's death on June 23, 2023.

Born on September 27, 1979, Gouda started her career as a Model at the age of 13 after winning the "Best Model of the World" 2004/2005 title in Turkey which finally launched her acting career.
Soon after, the Nefertiti lookalike became a popular actress known for her vast range of characters, her gravity, and most of all her genuine performance.
She made her break out of being typecast as a beautiful young damsel when she played the role of a heroine addict in director Amr Salama's first big screen movie "Zay El Naharda" (On a Day Like Today), which then landed her in getting harder and more challenging roles such as "Safeya" in director Sherif Arafa's movie "El Gezira 2" (The Island 2).
