The artifacts of the "Secrets of the Sunken Egypt" exhibition returned to Egypt today at dawn, after the end of its foreign tour in the United States of America (USA) and a number of European countries.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary- General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, explained that the exhibition had achieved great success in all the cities in which it was held.

The exhibition was based on the idea of displaying the sunken Egyptian antiquities that were discovered in Alexandria under the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri pointed out that the exhibition started its world tour in a number of European countries, starting with the Institute of the Arab World in the French capital Paris in 2015, then moved to the British Museum in England and the Reichburg Museum in Zurich, Switzerland, which was the last stop of his tour in Europe.

The exhibition started its second tour in the United States of America, where he visited four American cities, starting in 2018 in St. Louis, then the Minneapolis Museum of Art in Minneapolis and the Ronald Reagan Museum in the Presidential Library - California, ending his tour at the Virginia Museum of Art in Virginia and then returning to the homeland of Egypt.

It is worth noting that the exhibition "Secrets of the Sunken Egypt" included 293 artifacts from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Alexandria National Museum, the Greco-Roman Museum, the Library of Alexandria Museum, and pieces of discoveries made by the General Department of Sunken Antiquities.
