The Atlanta Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a car robbery involving Beyoncé’s stolen hard drives.
The material consists of the singer’s unreleased music, footage plans for her live show, and previous and upcoming set lists.
Investigators within the Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny from Auto Unit led the investigation and subsequently arrested suspect Kelvin Evans on August 26.
According to Hapeville PD, they secured an arrest warrant for the suspect in July, and Evans was booked into the Fulton County Jail weeks later. The stolen items have not been recovered at this time.
The suspect allegedly broke into a rental car on July 8 and took suitcases belonging to Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.
The theft occurred when Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour arrived in the city for four dates at the at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
In a 911 call released by the Atlanta Police Department, the incident was reported with the following description: “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. I work with someone who’s like of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”
According to that call, Grant and Blue reported that the window to the trunk of a Jeep Wagoneer had been destroyed for the thief to get inside.
The arrest warrant for the alleged suspect was issued on July 14.
The Cowboy Carter tour ended on July 26, in Paradise, Nevada. An all-stadium tour, the trek comprised of thirty-two concerts with a 40-song setlist each night.
