Armenia announced, on Saturday, that it shot down two Azerbaijani drones after entering its airspace.

On the other hand, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied reports of the Armenian side claiming that two Azerbaijani drones had been destroyed while entering its airspace.

"The reports of two Azerbaijani drones downed in the sky over Armenia are a groundless lie," the ministry said, according to TASS.

Noteworthy, Azerbaijan and Armenia exchanged, on Saturday, accusations of violating a truce brokered by Russia.

Azerbaijan announced that 12 civilians were killed and 40 others were wounded in the city of “Ganja”, as a result of Armenian forces' shelling.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said that two shells fell on civilian buildings in the second largest city of Azerbaijan, according to AFP.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed on Thursday that his country is concerned about the missiles and bullets fired into the Iranian territory as a result of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Unfortunately, there was disturbing news that several military missiles fell on the border areas inside Iranian territory as a result of the military battles in Nagorno-Karabakh, this is unacceptable at all,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman warned, according to Russia Today.

“If such shelling continues, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain indifferent.”
