Frankie Grande offered a positive health update after his sister Ariana Grande tested positive for coronavirus during the press and promo tour for “Wicked: For Good,” the follow-up to the 2024 film adaptation of the hit broadway musical.

“She’s doing well,” he said in a statement at the 2025 Out100 Celebration in Los Angeles. “As her brother, I send her all the love and healing vibes in the world. She’s working so much.”

“We’ve all had COVID at this point,” he added. “We know that she’s going to be fine.”

During the event—where Niecy Nash-Betts was honored with the Icon of the Year Award—the “Hotel Rock Bottom” singer also praised his sister’s performance as Glinda the Good in the screen adaptation of the Broadway play's second part, describing her return to the Oscar-nominated role as “fantastic.”

“I’ve seen it four times now and it’s spectacular,” he gushed. “It gets better every single time. I learn something new about my sister’s character every single time I watch her. Her acting is masterful. Her craft is on full display, and I encourage everybody to go see it.”

On November 20, Ariana shared in an Instagram story a photo of her appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” earlier this week — along with a message that reads, “moments before Covid.”

The news comes days after the singer-actress skipped doing interviews at the New York premiere of “For Good” in solidarity with Cynthia Erivo, who wasn’t feeling well and lost her voice.

As a result of her coronavirus diagnosis, she has had to pull out of a taped appearance with Erivo on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Erivo will appear alone for the segment.

The "Thank U, Next" singer will also miss the Q&A discussions about “Wicked: For Good” that were scheduled in the coming days.

Both Erivo and Ariana Grande tested positive for coronavirus at separate times while filming the first “Wicked” movie. Erivo contracted the virus just days before filming “Defying Gravity,” while Ariana Grande was diagnosed shortly before shooting “Popular.”

“Wicked: For Good” sees the return of Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba Throp and Glinda Upland, respectively, as well as Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, and Bronwyn James as ShenShen.

Jon M. Chu returns to direct “Wicked: For Good,” from a screenplay written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox.

Per the official logline for the sequel, “Set in the Land of Oz, before and after Dorothy Gale’s arrival from Kansas” — will “cover the events of the musical’s second act, following Elphaba and Glinda’s friendship being put to the test as they embrace their new respective identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North, and how the consequences of their actions will change all of Oz forever.”

The first “Wicked” grossed $756 million at the worldwide box office, ranking as the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation ever.

The film received 10 Academy Award nominations, with nods in best picture, costume design, lead actress for Erivo, supporting actress for Grande, makeup and hairstyling, editing, original score, sound and visual design and production design. It won for costume design, making Paul Tazwell the first Black man to win the award, alongside production design.

“Wicked: For Good” arrived in theaters on November 21.
