Arab Parliament Condemns Suicide Bombing of Army Camp in Mogadishu

The Arab Parliament (AP) condemned the suicide bombing targeted a Somali army camp in the capital Mogadishu, which resulted in a number of dead and injury.

In a statement issued on 15 June 2021, the AP expressed its complete rejection of all acts of violence and terrorism. It called on all Somali Parties to join forces to address the threat of terrorism and extremism.

The Arab Parliament emphasized its full support to Somalia in confronting this abhorrent phenomenon, and called on the Arab States to support Somalia at the current phase to consolidate the pillars of security and stability throughout the country, to address the economic challenges and to complete the process of building national State institutions in order to achieve the aspirations of the Somali people for security, stability, development and eliminate the threat of terrorism.
