The Arab League on Monday opened the 98th Conference of Liaison Officers of the Regional Offices for the Boycott of Israel at its headquarters in Cairo, bringing together delegations from Arab regional boycott offices and a representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The meeting, chaired by Assistant Secretary-General and Commissioner-General for the Boycott Fayed Mustafa, focuses on strengthening implementation of the Arab boycott framework and reinforcing coordination among regional offices.
Participants are reviewing measures related to maintaining the boycott list, including adding companies that violate boycott regulations and removing others that have complied with its provisions.
The conference also reaffirmed Arab summit and ministerial resolutions calling on governments, businesses and individuals to end all forms of dealings with Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian and Arab territories, including banning imports from and investments in settlements, while expressing support for the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
