The Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice convened its 76th meeting at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo on Monday to discuss regional judicial cooperation, anti-terrorism measures, and new draft model laws.
The high-level session was held following an official invitation from Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Justice and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, who serves as the chairman of the Executive Bureau.
Justice ministers and senior officials representing the bureau's member states participated in the session, including delegations from Bahrain, Algeria, Djibouti, Sudan, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, and Morocco.
Dr. Maha Bakheet, Minister Plenipotentiary and Supervisor of the Legal Affairs Sector—who also heads the technical secretariat of the council—stated that the session was convened in accordance with resolutions adopted during the bureau's 74th meeting.
