Arab Fashion Week, which was due to take place on Wednesday, has been postponed following the death of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance.
Arab Fashion Week announced Wednesday the news on Instagram, adding the five-day digital event is presented virtually by Microsoft and streamed by Facebook Inc from Sunday, March 28 to Thursday, April 1.
The Arab Fashion Council also extended its condolences, saying: 'On behalf of the Arab Fashion Council, our esteemed partners and community of designers, we wish to convey our sincere condolence to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, and to the people of the United Arab Emirates.'
