Eng. Mohsen Salah, CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors (AC) company, announced the completion Kayunga Hospital rehabilitation project in the state of Uganda at a cost of about $ 16.7 million.
"The hospital capacity now reaches 300 beds following the new expansions, after it was only 100 beds," Salah added.
He explained that the rehabilitation works included a number of constructions, such as the main building that contains outpatient clinics, administrative offices, sections for laboratories, radiology, pharmacies, blood bank, a new building for patients’ department, 8 new buildings for the doctors and hospital staff housing, a building for generators and transformers, 2 building for external kitchens, and service buildings attached to the hospital in addition to new roads, water, sewage and electricity networks.
Salah pointed out that the company also rehabilitated 6 existing therapeutic and administrative buildings and 25 buildings for the doctors and hospital staff housing.
He also stressed that the African sector continues to work in various projects in light of the preventive measures taken to preserve the health of workers.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Mabrouk, Head of Africa Sector pointed out that Arab contractors company completed last year the construction of Mulago Hospital in Uganda and are currently implementing road networks.
Noteworthy, the company was granted the certificate of the best contracting company in Uganda for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.
