Eng. Mohsen Salah, CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors company announced that the company’s branch in Uganda continues its work despite the crisis of the new Coronavirus.
"The company has been able to overcome the crisis and complete its work in various projects, including the “Balisa Kamankuli Lot 2” road, where the company accomplished 45% of the total of 44 km long road at a cost of $ 61 million," Salah said
He added that the contract signed with the Ugandan Roads Authority requires the completion of only 30%, while the company has finalized its works in the project in a period of time less than what stipulated in the contract.
In the history of the Ugandan Roads Authority, this is the second time for the company to accomplish its works before the deadline, as it has already completed 40% of Trini Balisa Comi Lot 1 road of a total length of 67 km and at a cost of 81 million dollars, last January before the deadline and according to the required technical specifications.
Salah explained that despite the Corona crisis, the company’s Africa sector was able to overcome all the obstacles resulting from the curfew, pointing out to the company’s commitment to apply all preventive measures to protect the Egyptian and Ugandan workers.
The Arab contractors company is also implementing the Masaka Bukakata project of a length of 41 km and at a cost of $ 45 million.
Noteworthy, the company was granted the certificate of the best contracting company in Uganda for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.
