For the tenth consecutive year, the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) returns to the Cannes Film Festival with a new edition of its Arab Cinema Magazine and the publication of its annual “Golden 101” power-list of the Arab film industry’s leading movers and makers.
This is ACC's 22nd edition of the Arab Cinema Magazine, an English-language publication whose special editions are circulated at major film festivals. It is overseen by New York-based editorial director Colin Brown, the MAD Solutions managing partner who previously served as the editor-in-chief of film business paper Screen International, where he founded the leading online publication Screen Daily.
In addition to the “Golden 101”, the magazine’s Cannes edition unveils all the contenders for this year’s Critics Awards for Arab Films, the ACC annual awards in which 225 film critics from over 72 countries across the world vote on best achievements in Arab cinema over the previous year. It also contains essays from the two internationally renowned film critics who are receiving this year's ACC Achievement Award for Film Critics: Lebanon’s NadimJarjoura and the UK’s Peter Bradshaw, who reviews films for The Guardian.
Arab Cinema Magazine — the third-most-read magazine at Cannes for the past several editions — is available to registered users of the Marché du Film’s website.
