On Tuesday, Apple Music and Shazam released their top streaming songs, albums, and artists lists for 2024.
Kendrick Lamar topped Apple Music's Top Songs of 2024 with “Not Like Us.” Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things" came second with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” hitting No. 3 and 4, respectively.
Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” finalized the top five.
2024 was the biggest year of female artists to be on the charts with 39 songs on the list.
In the same context, Boone’s “Beautiful Things” topped the 2024 Global Shazam chart. Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” hit No. 2, while FloyyMenor and CrisMJ’s single “Gata Only” arrived was at No. 3. At No. 4 is CYRIL’s remix of Disturbed’s “The Sound of Silence,” followed by Artemas’ “i like the way you kiss me.”
In addition, Billie Eilish was named Apple Music'sArtist of the Year: 'A voice of her generation.
Taylor Swift was named the top streamed artist of 2024, while her The Tortured Poets Department earned the top streamed album of the year.
