Apple Original Films has acquired the right to Academy Award-winner Jennifer Lawrence's A24 movie “Causeway“.
The project features Lawrence as a soldier struggling to adjust to her life after returning home to New Orleans.
It is directed by acclaimed theater director Lila Neugebauer from a script by Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel, and Elizabeth Sanders.
In addition to A24, Causeway is also produced by IAC Films, IPR.VC, and Excellent Cadaver. Lawrence serves as a producer on the movie alongside Justine Ciarrocchi for Excellent Cadaver. In addition to directing, Neugebauer serves as executive producer.

The project was first announced in April 2019 and kicked principal photography in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 17.
"Causeway" joins an ever-expanding slate of films over at Apple Original Films. It is also set to join the Lawrence-starring movie "Bad Blood", which will see her star as breakthrough Silicon Valley entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes and will tell the story of the Theranos scandal.
The movie does not have a release date announced as of yet, but it is set to make its global debut both in theaters and on Apple TV+ later this year.
