The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has announced details of producing the first electric motorcycle in Egypt.

Maj. Gen. Ahmed Manzor, Chairman of Qader Factory affiliated to the AOI, said that the production of the electric motorcycle is considered one of the best inpidual industries in the factory.

The factory manufactures three types of that motorcycle which all entered the local market.

Clients can buy those motorcycles at various outlets. They can get them by installments through coordinating between the AOI and a bank.

Manzor added that the new motorcycle saves energy significantly. It could be charged an electricity source at home and its battery lives run at least for five years.

The AOI guarantees the motorcycle for five years. It reduces the rate of emissions released by the other vehicles run by fossil fuel.

The force of the engine of the new motorcycle is 1000 watt; its maximum speed reaches 60 km per hour. One charge suffices for 90 km.

It costs only EGP 22 thousand so it is more economic compared with other makes traded in the local market.

This cooperation comes as a result of a recent visit paid by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, PM, to the SEMAF factory in Helwan.

Senior officials agreed to take executive steps to start developing and modernizing of the SEMAF factory in accordance with a time plan.
