The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities hosted a dinner at the Egyptian Museum for the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, and his accompanying delegation.
The dinner party was attended by Mohamed Manar, Minister of Civil Aviation, Osama Heikal, Minister of State for Information, Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, and a number of ambassadors of various Arab and foreign countries.
Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Mr. Pololikashvili held, yesterday evening, a meeting with Mr. Ahmed Al-Wasif, Egyptian Tourism Federation Chairperson, heads of the five tourism chambers, and some tourism investor associations, to discuss a number of issues that will contribute to enhancing tourist movement to Egypt and tourism promotion.
Pololikashvili stressed the organization's full readiness to support Egypt to restore the previous rates of tourism movement which was affected by the emerging Coronavirus crisis, expressing his happiness at visiting Egypt, especially in light of the seriousness of the precautionary measures applied in hotels.
Pololikashvili also expressed his desire to visit Egypt soon, to spend his vacation with his family on the beaches of Hurghada.
Dr. Al-Anani, and Pololikashvili toured the museum. The former presented a gift to the latter.
