Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled El Anany and 30 foreign ambassadors to Egypt visited on Friday Sharm El-Sheikh Museum ahead of its anticipated inauguration, the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry said in a statement.
Anany was keen to inspect one hall of the museum, allowing the ambassadors to tour one hall also to keep the museum as a surprise for the world, as it is expected to be a new attraction for the Red Sea resort city and the Egyptian tourism as a whole.
Meanwhile, the 30 envoys lauded the museum's beauty and artifacts, expressing their enthusiasm to visit it again after the opening to see what they had missed.
They pointed out that they did not expect that there would be a museum in Sharm El-Sheikh, adding it will be one of the most amazing museums in Egypt.
It is worth noting that the museum has so far received more than 6,062 artifacts from several stores and archaeological areas from various parts across the country, the latest of which was a rare piece of mosaic from Alexandria, dating back to the fourth century BC.
The aviation and information ministers, as well as Assistant Foreign Minister For European Affairs Badr Abdel Aati and President of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Tourism Ahmed El-Wasif were present.
