Antiquities Min. Meets British ambassador to Cairo

CAIRO, Nov. 16 (SEE)- Dr. Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Antiquities received at the Ministry’s office, Ambassador Sir Geoffrey Adams, the British ambassador to Cairo, shortly after taking office.

The meeting discussed means of cooperation between both countries in the field of archaeological work, museums, exchange of knowledge and expertise, restoration and training of archaeologists. It is worthy to note that there are 20 British archaeological missions operating in Egypt.

During the meeting, the British Ambassador expressed his enthusiasm for the ancient Egyptian civilization.

He also expressed the Embassy's willingness to cooperate with the Ministry of Antiquities to support and help providing all necessary information for the applications of UK visas for its employees who have received scholarships or trainings or participation in scientific and archaeological conferences and seminars in Britain.
