Veteran Egyptian singer-actress Anoushka has recently joined the cast of actress Riham Hagag's TV series "Tawaba". Asma Abulyazeid is also attached to star.
The drama consists of 15 episodes and reunites Hagag with the creative team behind the 2025 TV series “Athena,” director Yahya Ismail and scriptwriter Ayman Salama.
"Tawaba" is set to screen in the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.

Anoushka participated last Ramadan with the star-studded TV series “W Tuqabil Habib”.
The cast also stars Yasmin Abdelaziz, Karim Fahmy, Nicole Saba, Khaled Selim, Nada Moussa, Eman El-Sayed, Badria Tolba, Mahmoud Amr Yassin, Menna Arafa, and more.
Veteran stars Rashwan Tawfek, Hanan Sulieman, and Salah Abdallah round out the cast.
"W Tuqabil Habib" consists of 30 episodes and witnessed Abdelaziz's comeback to the Ramadan marathon after two years of absence.
It also marked Abdelaziz and Fahmy's second collaboration after the 2020 TV series "We Nehib Tani Leh" as well as her third with scriptwriter Amr Mahmoud Yassin after the 2020 TV series "We Nehib Tani Leh" and the 2021 TV series "Elly Malosh Kbeer".
"W Tuqabil Habib" was directed by Mohamed Al-Khabiri and produced by Synergy Production.

Born on March 9, 1960, to an Egyptian-Armenian father and an Armenian mother, Anoushka launched her career in the advertising firm Tarek Nour as a singer in advertisements.
She participated in an international song competition organized by the International Federation of Festival Organizations (FIDOF), singing an original French song, lyrics by Gamal Abdel Halim Hasan, and music by Kamel Cherif.
The iconic star presented her first Egyptian public song in a children's television program teaching the Arabic language, directed by Fehmi Abdel Hamid.
She went on to take part in 1987 and 1988 in international festivals in Finland, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Turkey, France, and Latin America.
In Turkey, Anoushka won first prize with "Habbytak" and in the Francophonie competitions in France with her own composition "Ya Habibi (Oh my Love)" in French and "Ya Leyl (Oh Night)" also in French, composed by Midhat el Khawla.
She released many albums in Arabic, becoming a pan-Arab sensation, and was honored by the Egyptian Minister of Tourism for her efforts in promoting Egyptian music in the Arab World and worldwide.
She also took part in many national, pan-Arab, and international music events.
Anoushka also made a career in acting. She proved her skills as an actress in the 1991 TV series "El-Tawous" with the prominent movie star Salah Zulfikar. Afterwards, prominent film director Salah Abu Seif chose her to participate in the 1994 film "Al-Sayed Kaf." This role was followed by many others.
