The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts extremely hot and humid weather will prevail in most of the country during Friday's daylight hours.

Hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in the North Coast.

The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index by 1-3 degrees.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.

Wind speeds between 30 and 40 (km/h) are expected to occur occasionally in most parts of Egypt, stirring up sand and dust in the New Valley governorate.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.25 meters in height varying between westerly and northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Moreover, maritime navigation is expected to be disrupted in the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba, with winds averaging 40 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 2.5:3 meters.

There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in Marsa Matruh, El Alamein, and Alexandria, with winds averaging 30 to 40 km/h and waves ranging between 1.5:2.25 meters.

Moderate and humid weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of Egypt at night and in the early morning.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 36°C in Cairo, 31°C in Alexandria, 30°C in Marsa Matruh, 39°C in Sohag, 42°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.
