Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy on Thursday condemned what he described as a "cowardly terrorist bombing" that targeted a café frequented by lawyers near the Palace of Justice in Damascus, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
In a statement issued by the League of Arab States, Fahmy denounced the July 2 attack in the strongest terms and reaffirmed the organization's solidarity with Syria in confronting terrorism.
He also reiterated the Arab League's support for the Syrian government's efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and to address threats that undermine the country's security and stability.
The statement stressed that confronting terrorism remains essential to preserving Syria's security and supporting efforts to restore stability across the country.
