Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades commented on the death of our Egyptian citizens in a massive fire that broke out on Saturday across several Cypriot villages.
“It is a tragedy. The largest fire since 1974. Losses of life, property, land, and forest were destroyed," Anastasiades tweeted.
"The government will provide immediate assistance to the victims and their families," he confirmed.
It is worth mentioning that, the Egyptian embassy in Nicosia formed an operations room to communicate with Cypriot officials, who, on their part, showed full cooperation, led by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Health, and Agriculture, and the Police Chief.
Moreover, Egypt's Foreign Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.
