Egyptian actress Amy Samir Ghanem will not participate in the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
Ghanem participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Ouabal Andoko”.
The drama consists of 15 episodes and features Ghanem collaborating with her husband and fellow actor Hassan El Raddad.
Besides Ghanem and El Raddad, the cast also includes Mohamed Tharwat, Enaam Salousa, Soliman Eid, Alaa Morsy, Arefa Abdul Rasoul, Hagag Abd Elazim, and more.
It is scripted by Ahmed Saad Wali, directed by Alaa Ismail, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky.
The beloved couple and Wali worked together on the small screen in the 2018 TV series "Azmi W Ashgaan".
The official logline for the series reads, "On Soha and Fadi’s wedding day, 7 humorous tales of failed marriages make them question the idea of tying the knot. A lighthearted Egyptian series that humorously explores marriage challenges."
“Ouabal Andoko” marks Ghanem's comeback to the drama marathon after five years of absence.
She made her last participation in the marathon with the 2019 TV series "Super Meero".
Born on March 31, 1987, Samir Ghanem grew up in an artistic family: she is the daughter of renowned actor Samir Ghanem and actress Dalal Abdulaziz. She has a very strong comedic style, similar to that of her parents.
The actress made her acting debut in 2006’s play "Taralamlam" and landed her first TV role in 2009's "Khas Giddaan".
She is also known for her performances in the TV series "Azmi & Ashjan" (2018), "Fi Al La La Land" (2017), and "Nelly and Sherihan" (2016). Her film credits include "Zanqat Sittat" (2015), "Hatuli Ragel" (2013), "X-Large" (2011), "Samir wa Shahir wa Bahir" (2010), and "Assal Eswed" (2010).
