The release date for Egyptian actress Amy Samir Ghanem and her husband and fellow actor Hassan El Raddad's untitled comedy film has been unveiled.

The film is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon.

Ghanem made her last onscreen appearance guest starring in El Raddad's comedy film "Blomondo".

The cast also includes Hagar Ahmed, Mahmoud Hafez, Sama Ibrahim, Engy Wegdan, Mostafa Abo Sreaa, and others. Filmmaker Yasser Samy directs the pic from a screenplay by Hazem and Mohamed Waifi.

The film revolves around a young man in his thirties, Belmondo, who takes advantage of his wife's travel abroad to give birth and decides to throw a small party at his friend's house, but quickly the number of attendees increases and everything gets out of control.

"Blomondo" witnesses Ghanem's comeback to the big screen after 7 years of absence. She made her last appearance alongside El Raddad in the 2016 film "Ashan Khargen".

undefinedGhanem and El Raddad recently collaborated in the play "Television," staged from August 8-10 at the 2nd edition of the New Alamein Festival in North Coast, Egypt.

The cast also includes Soleiman Eid, Badria Tolba, Mahmoud Hafez, Mohamed Osama, famously known as "Osos", and others.

"Television" hails from director Mohamed Al Sagheer and screenwriters Ahmed Saad Wali, Ibrahim Saber, and Mohamed Salah Khattab.

The play's official synopsis reads: "After Uncle Hozmbol arrives for the married couple Hefzi and Karawaneh carrying gifts for them that were delayed thirty years but are not suitable for them now, which makes their curiosity push them to search for Uncle Hozmbol's gift bag to find a magical television set. They find themselves inside it, moving between its channels with all their events and details, while a child controls them with a remote control... What is their fate, at what channel will their lives stop, and can they return to their lives again?."

The play was first staged on December 20, 2023, within the activities of the 4th edition of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.
